| Unionville Orthodontics - Cooperation |
 |
Cooperation can be defined as the willingness to do what is expected of you during your orthodontic treatment. It may include behaviours such as presenting for your appointments on time, placing elastics around your brackets as instructed, adjusting appliances as directed, keeping your teeth, gums and brackets clean or wearing your aligners throughout the day and night.
When cooperation is compromised, so are outcomes. Your treatment term may be extended. Treatment results may be less than ideal. In some cases, a lack of cooperation may result in a mid-treatment clinical re-diagnosis that is worse than how you originally presented.
